There are many different types of party venues suitable for all different types of parties. Certain venues are more suitable for particular types of parties, whereas others can be used for anything. Weddings, birthday’s, hen and stag nights, New Year and Christmas are some of the reasons why people decide to have a party. Below are some of the types of venues that are used for parties.
Nightclubs
Many decide to celebrate in a nightclub, especially those in their late teens and early twenties. It is possible to hire an entire nightclub or a room within a large nightclub for a celebration. The entertainment consists of music being played by a DJ with a dance floor. There will always be a bar serving drinks but food is rarely available. The most common parties held in nightclubs are birthday parties, stag and hen nights and general celebrations.
Restaurants
Celebrations held in restaurants are a much quieter affair than those in nightclubs. Large parties can hire an entire restaurant for an afternoon or evening or an entire section or a restaurant. Food and drinks are served, often with a set menu (depending on the type of restaurant) with two or three choices. Music is not really a factor, unless it is some light background music. They are more suitable where people want to talk rather than dance and listen to music. Birthday parties and reunions are amongst those that may be held in a restaurant.
Hotels
Hotel’s often have rooms for hire for all sorts of purposes. They can be used as partie venues, but also business conference or exhibition venues. The musical entertainment for a party held in a hotel could consist of a DJ or a live band. Food is often part of the celebration, although its form (sit down meal, buffet etc) varies. All sorts of parties can take place in a hotel, and they can be either indoors or in the hotel’s gardens.
Private Clubs
Private clubs are another popular party venue. They can include golf clubs and private members clubs. They are generally seen as more exclusive party venue. Wedding receptions and Christmas parties are amongst those help in such places, with a stag or hen night unlikely. Food is usually included and there might also be a bar. Music varies; it can be just background music or it may be more prominent.
Halls
Large halls are often chosen for parties with a large number of guests. Such parties may include wedding receptions and school discos. There is often a DJ to provide the musical entertainment. Food is not usually the main theme but there is sometimes a buffet. The types of halls used for parties can vary greatly.
Garden Parties
Garden’s can be part of another venue, such as a hall with a conjoining garden, but there are also specific garden parties. Obviously these are more widely used for a summer party than something such as a Christmas or New Year celebration. Wedding receptions and birthday parties are commonly held in such a setting. The style of party held in a garden varies. There may be a DJ or there might be a live band, or even no music at all. They can be very formal or very informal, and whether or not there is food, and the type of food, can also differ.
